Amazing Mother Lanka

Sri Lanka is a small island situated in the Indian Ocean just below India. It is also known as Ceylon, Taprobane, Serendib, Pearl of the Indian Ocean and by a few as India's teardrop.


Sri Lanka is an island that experiences just two seasons in a manner of speaking, the dry season and the rainy season. Average yearly climate is around 28 degrees Celsius.




Nevertheless Sri Lanka also has some high 
points in the island which experience temperatures as low as 4 degree Celsius.









Sri Lanka has various beautiful places to visit. These include the very famed "fortress in the sky" Sigiriya which is one of the seven World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka. In addition to being located in a geographically wonderful place Sigiriya also boasts of some epic frescoes of which many are ruined now.








Sri Lanka also has many beautiful beaches down south and in the north-east. Many tourists visit the island to experience the sun and sand in these areas.
